Bring your own mosquito net!
Bring a thin cotton bed sheed or clothes/open sarong for bed and mandi.
Bring a hamock and snorkel equipment (no rental).

The weather in Banggai islands is always good for travelers, best from September to December, January to March windy + wavy (but not to much).


The three meals a day are rich and tasty, including fish, octopus etc. Most of the time, you will some fruits like banana, ananas, mango etc. If you need, bring some special food you like, for example milk/coffee creamer, chokolade, snacks. There is a small shop in Lala Village and some in the villages around but only with small offers. If you do not like sweet coffee better learn the phrase „Kopi hitam tanpa gula“. 

The homestay is close to nature, it can happen you have a spider or mouse in the room. You have to hang up all food, best outside.

Do not expect: Alcohol, disco parties, restaurants, cars or motorbikes, mobile phones or internet, cold drinks, diving. 

Malaria: We never used malaria medicine and stay healthy until now, but sometimes, we heard, there is few Malaria. This decision about medical treatment is YOUR responibility! But for safety, bring standby Malaria medicine! Take care of all medical treatments you think you need for safety. There is a small hospital in the next village but we do not know, what conditions it has.  

If you think, this is exciting and less comfort does not matter, go to Lala Village, you are always welcomed.
But better read this carefully and think about all aspects before.
